Teepee Shuffle |
Planning a retreat can be an overwhelming adventure. At Caroline Furnace we want to help you. Every retreat has a purpose; to plan for the future, to study together and learn more about a subject, to craft or scrapbook together or simply to get to know one another better.
Regardless of the purpose, going on Retreat always helps a group to know one another better. The time away and working together gives each person the opportunity to learn and share more about themselves and hopefully time to discover more about themselves.

So, where to begin?
- Think about your group; when do you want to retreat (Spring, Fall, Summer, Winter)
- What housing will work best?
- Retreat House for smaller groups in 5 bunk rooms
- Cabin Village for family retreats, larger retreats, smaller groups that can be separated by cabin (12 persons per cabin)
- Sukkahs for camping type retreat groups who will be hiking or canoeing, ideal for scout groups
- Signal Knob for adults only - a higher comfort retreat center located in Strasburg, VA (groups up to 20)
- Call or email and arrange housing (meals and any "other" activities)
- Begin planning specifics of your retreat
- Promote your retreat in newsletter, bulletin and posters (can also send personal invitations via mail or email)
- As your date gets closer, let us know approximately how many you are expecting, if there are any special needs for meals (allergies/ vegetarian, etc)
