Each day includes Bible Study, Worship, activities or options, evening recreation and/or campfires.

Pioneer Stars & Dirt, time to bring in the experts! With an archeologist, we’ll dig into the dirt at an ongoing archeological site (that is located on camp). archeology site on camp Caroline Furnace can get so dark at night that the stars at night seem to be just barely out of reach.  With the help of an astronomer, campers will have an opportunity to learn more about these twinkling beauties both through their own two eyes and with the help of a powerful telescope.

Pioneer Stars & RocksTaking turns at the new Rock Range A combination of up and down.  These campers will enjoy an opportunity to look up and learn about the stars that twinkle so brightly at camp that they seem to be just out of reach AND to go down into a local cavern (Shenandoah Caverns) to explore some amazing sights that lie right beneath their feet.  We will also include stars and rocks in our crafts, games and other activities throughout the week.

Pioneer Tails & Trees a trip to the Luray ZooA hike in the woods takes on new meaning as campers learn about the plants and trees that surround them and how they are used by the creatures who make their home in these woods.  We will also take a trip off camp to a local zoo to see animals that you might see in our woods and some that you most likely never will.

Pioneer Canoes Campers will learn to be good canoers.  Ready to swamp my canoeThey will learn a variety of strokes, how to un-swamp your canoe and, best of all, how to drive your canoe.  The canoe rodeo at the end of the week was a big hit last summer.  All canoeing is on our 5-acre lake; don’t forget your water shoes!
