Annual Fund

Caroline Furnace Lutheran Camp and Retreat Center, Inc. is a non-profit organization that is supported by three synods of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).  The synods are; the Metro DC Synod, the Virginia Synod and the West Virginia-Western Maryland Synod.  

The ANNUAL FUND supports the operational costs of this ministry. With support from congregations, synods and YOU, we are able to keep our camper and retreat fees low, thus encouraging the use of this wonderful place.

WHY support this ministry? 

Because, with the pace of life today, we need to preserve this place that offers a quiet, natural environment to come away from the daily schedule and listen for the still small voice that gets buried deep inside.  Studies are beginning to show that many of today's pastors have heard their call in an outdoor ministry setting.  In our travels throughout our three synods, we have heard again and again how summer camp or a church retreat was significant in a persons faith journey.

We need to preserve and provide for this ministry.
