Caroline Furnace is truly an awesome place for folks to meet God in God’s creation.  Just about every visitor to the camp asks what they can do to help this ministry grow and thrive.  To facilitate the enormous number of volunteer requests, we have established two work weekends where you can give back a little of what this place gives to you.Staining the Cabin eves

A typical work weekend starts with a Friday evening arrival and check in.  This is followed by snacks and social time in the lodge to give you a chance to meet other folks who love and support this ministry.  During breakfast Saturday morning, folks may choose between a number of projects to do around the camp.  By 9 o’clock folks will be headed out to start their respective jobs.  We take a break at 12:30 for lunch and by 1:15, we’re back at work.  Most projects are finished by dinner time.  After dinner it is time to give thanks to God for the blessings we have with a worship service and campfire.  Sunday morning breakfast is served at 8 and if some projects aren’t finished, we start back to work on those.  If the jobs are done then you have free time to explore the camp until you’re ready to leave.

The projects for this spring were to replace the deck boards on the dock, paint the Lifeguard stand, finish staining the cabins, clear leaves from under and around the cabins
