Volunteer Opportunities

Would you like to volunteer? We want you! Caroline Furnace depends on our volunteers. There are many ways you can be involved:

Year-Round Volunteer Opportunities

There are so many ways we can use your talents to help us
take care of Caroline Furnace. We can arrange projects for
individual volunteer groups. Projects might include clearing
brush, trail maintenance, landscaping, carpentry projects,
housekeeping, painting and more. If you have a talent you'd
like to share with us please let us know!

Volunteer Work Weekends

Each year, Caroline Furnace hosts Work Weekends in the Spring and Fall. It’s a great opportunity to fellowship and serve in the Kingdom together. We work hard during the days, and in the evenings we enjoy time together in fellowship, playing games, roasting s'mores and telling stories by the fireside.

Summer Camp Volunteer Opportunities

During Summer Camp, a volunteer is someone who feels called to serve others for one week at camp. Volunteers must apply and agree to a background check. Volunteers live in the Farmhouse for the week and take part in meals and activities with the campers.

Chaplain

Caroline Furnace volunteer chaplains each serve one week of summer camp. They lead campers and staff in morning worship and evening prayer, lead evening worship in St. John's Chapel on Wednesday, and provide spiritual guidance and support to the entire community of staff and campers. We appreciate the pastors, seminarians, and lay leaders who feel called to serve camp in this role.

Support Team

Our volunteer team supports the summer program through a variety of tasks including kitchen duty, maintenance, activity set up and leadership, transporting campers, and much more.
