Habakkuk 3:18-19 Takes Me Home

"Yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will exult in the God of my salvation. God the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, and makes me tread upon the heights." I like this verse (well all of Hab 3) for two reasons: first, I like the message that even though sometimes things can just be really awful and bleak, God is still there for us. He never lets us down and he'll always be there to guide and protect us, especially in the moments where it's most difficult to find God.

And for that, we should praise him and be happy! Even in those dark times! Secondly - the imagery that Habakkuk uses reminds me so much of camp and how awesome God is to have created such a cool place like Caroline Furnace. From the mountains to the water, to the deer prancing around, there is so much to be grateful for and so many places to see God's awesome power.
