Acts 2:1-13 Takes Me Home

This story was the final day of Bible study during my first summer as a counselor, back in 2014. It has since become one of my favorite stories to return to as I have begun seminary. One of the distinctive features of this story for me is the fact that people from so many different cultures were able to share in this single, beautiful experience. Camp is a place where much the same can happen. This place brings together so many people from so many different backgrounds, all coming together to learn about and worship God.

This summer, as we are preparing for yet another incredible summer, I have been reflecting on all the support I have received from the people I met through the amazing ministry here. The Holy Spirit is truly present in this place, just as it was on that celebration of Pentecost that we read about in Acts. I feel blessed to have been a part of this community for as long as I have, and am looking forward to serving another summer! -Zach, Summer Staff 2014-19, Camper 2009-13
