Meet our Program Directors, Andy and Caroline!
Meet Caroline! This is Caroline's fourth summer on staff!
She graduated from Queen's University of Charlotte this spring, majoring in Music with a minor in Religion. While at Queen's, Caroline helped start a progressive campus ministry and was involved in choir and a multitude of other clubs and activities, including opera and ukulele club! Her favorite color is yellow, like sunshine on a warm summer day. Caroline's favorite place on camp property is Passage Creek, because of the sounds that nature musically creates. She can play A TON of instruments, including piano, guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, violin, and boomwhackers. Caroline loves to cook with salted butter, and if she could only eat two foods for the rest of her life, she would pick avocado and cheese! Caroline will be starting seminary at Wake Forest Divinity School in the fall!
Meet Andy! This is Andy's third summer on staff!
He is a rising senior at Virginia Tech, majoring in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise. He is also a rank captain for the trombone section in Virginia Tech's Marching Virginians and the President of The Well Lutheran Campus Ministry. Andy is so excited to see returning campers and to get to know new campers. His favorite place on camp property is the Main Field because the view "is like a nice, big, warm embrace." Some fun facts about Andy are: his favorite color is green (and practically everything he owns is green), he is a big believer in bigfoot, and his favorite snack is blueberries (and he often can eat the entire container in one sitting!). Andy cannot wait for all of the blessings that this summer will hold!
